Education

Integrity and continuity are essential in The Koç School’s education program from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Our student-centered program, where students are considered as individuals, makes an effective education possible in a multicultural environment, in which the student development will be supported to have them attain the peak level of their capacity. Our education program aims to cultivate intellectual and human qualities of our students, to have them become responsible citizens, who always follow Atatürk’s principles, who possess national and international self-confidence and strong leadership characteristics. Our program objectives:

• Gain basic knowledge and skills,
• Recognize cultural and conceptual perspectives,
• Learn and become aware of all subjects in the world agenda, and their effects on Turkey,
• Execute the problem solving and conflict resolution process by using positive approaches,
• Cultivate creativity and awareness,
• Understand the meaning of becoming a “Responsible Citizen” through in-school and out-of-school activities.

Our education programs are reinforced by incorporating contemporary developments on education. Subjects are taught in association with the daily life practice rather than through abstract concepts and memorized clichés. For this purpose, computer-aided lessons, science laboratories, technology and ceramics workshops, activity rooms, art-music rooms, sports halls, conference halls and library are affectively used.

Given the fact that visual and audio tools are essential in making learning more effective, education technologies (computer, internet, projector, video, etc.) are made use of intensively during the lessons. Lessons are supported with education technologies to ensure top-level learning.

Education is conducted by domestic and international teachers with high academic qualifications. MEB curriculum in our school has been enriched with English, arts, sports and social activities as well as with educational excursions, where in situ learning is encouraged.

Complementary social activities planned in accordance with the interests and abilities of students constitute a major part of our educational applications. For this purpose, 1-3 students are offered activities associated with creative drama, intelligence games and math, arts, sports, music, classical ballet, English child club, child games, cooking, chess, ceramics, library work, computer and English drama.
