Fit in Deutsch 1 and 2, Zertifikat Deutsch and Goethe-Zertifikat B2

"Fit in Deutsch 1", "Fit in Deutsch 2", “Zertifikat Deustch” and “Goethe-Zertifikat B2” are new international examinations for young learners of German aged 10 -15 years who have reached A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels of the Common European Framework of Languages.

The exam content is relevant to intercultural language teaching and focuses on themes of interest to young people. There are both playful and creative elements in the speaking part and special emphasis is placed on the ability to communication. These exams measure not only the student’s current level of knowledge, but also act as motivation to continue learning.

The exams are set by the Goethe-Institut, the leading organisation in the world for the promotion of the German language. The institute is involved in the development of examinations based on strict standards which lead to internationally recognised certificates.

The most well known Goethe-Institut exam is "Zertifikat Deutsch" (Certificate of German), sat annually by thousands around the world.

Since the inception of the Common European Framework of Languages a few years ago, all Goethe-Institut examinations correspond to the new international standard. This makes possible the description, assessment and certification of language skills across a broad scale ranging from elementary to highly advanced.

The examinations have already been introduced into various European countries and have met with significant and continuing success. The examination framework consists of the following skills:

  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking

It is our department’s goal in 2008-2009 to offer these 4 exams to Koç students, if not at our own school, then at the Goethe-Instititut with our support and organization.
