k6-12 TURKISH LITERATURE

    VKV KOÇ School 6-12 Turkish-Literature program is carried out in a student-centered approach and in interaction with other developed programs in the world. According to this, text analysis is considered to be the center of teaching all sorts of knowledge and skills. Our program that focuses on developing the skills like reading, listening, speaking, writing and grammar in grades 6-8 continues in higher grades, too; and as of 9th grade,  it also includes teaching basic knowledge, terminology and concepts in literature and language. Among the ultimate goals of Turkish course are to have the students individually understand, analyze, interpret and tell the materials they read; use language effectively and in such a manner that suits the purposes and addresses the audience; to become good spectators of culture and art related activities; and to become individuals, who are sensitive towards the problems in their surroundings and the problems in the world. According to 6-12 program, a KOÇ School student will have completed reading and analyzing a total of 34 books in details by the time he/she graduates from the school. Besides, the texts in the Lesson Notes, which have been prepared by our level teachers on the basis of the curriculum requirements as well as the needs of our students, constitute the major part of our program.
